This workshop introduces key concepts of astrology through a lens of Jungian theory and archetypal interpretation to integrate astrology and the creative process.
Participants will be able to identify key archetypes that can provide theoretical relevance to the healing process for therapists working with individuals interested in astrology. The workshop will thread Jungian philosophy with astrology and identify archetypes that are within natal charts. Participants will learn how to find these archetypes, as well as how to process them creatively, using simple materials such as poetry, drawing, movement, and writing.

According to Jung, astrology provided an opportunity to bring in the collective unconscious based on how planets were positioned in a natal chart. He believed that this could be used to learn more about personality by looking at that positioning. Jung believed that natal charts provided information on why everything is connected and that everything happens for a reason.
Participants will:
- Learn basic astrology (intended for the beginner/novice).
- Identify Jungian archetypes in client experiences by using astrology, cosmology, and mythology.
- Use expressive art experiences such as writing, drawing, movement, and poetry.
- Learn how to use and experience a natal chart to further explore personality theory and as a diagnostic tool.
