An Expressive Arts Facilitator is skilled in guiding individuals or groups through intermodal creative processes to promote self-expression, well-being, and personal growth in such areas as leadership, education, social and emotional learning, community-building, healthcare, coaching, and more. Our training offers a pathway to pursuing the REACE Credential (Registered Expressive Arts Consultant and Educator) with the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association (IEATA).
The expressive arts can serve as a powerful vehicle for personal and professional growth in educational environments, leadership areas, social development, health and wellness programs, coaching, and other social and emotional learning spaces. Regardless of the setting, an Expressive Arts Facilitator role is to lead others in utilizing the expressive arts for learning, personal growth, improved well-being, and self-expression.

Level One of our training program is offered online and covers the foundational components of Expressive Arts approaches through both didactic and experiential coursework. We believe that learning through experience increases the personal connection with the material, thus enhancing the skills necessary to work with others.
Level Two of our program offers advanced training in Expressive Arts Facilitation, increasing overall skills by participating in an expanded curriculum, designing a capstone project, and participating in a practicum. Level two is offered in a hybrid format requiring an in-person intensive in Seattle.
After completing Levels One and Two, you will have fulfilled the training requirements to pursue the REACE credential. Additional experience hours and an application will be required.
Please note: An Expressive Arts Facilitator is not a trained psychotherapist and will not be offering psychotherapy or therapy.
Applications for the 2026 Cohort will be available Fall 2025
