As professionals, we know that the relationships we have with our clients are one of the most important aspects of successful outcomes. We engage in continuing education to expand and hone skills and work with supervisors and peer consult groups that offer ongoing support and personal growth. In addition, paying attention to our self-care and restorative practices is a vital part of finding energy and sustainability in our work.
What if you could learn a powerful approach to working with Soul Collage® that unites all of these? This method does not use cards to read for our clients, but instead to draw awareness and insight into how we can best serve our clients and tend to ourselves. As always, cards will be used for self-exploration, introspection, and personal growth.
This workshop is specifically meant for Mental Health Therapists, Counselors, Social Workers, Coaches, PTs, OTs, Nurses, Naturopaths, Massage Therapists, and other allied professionals who are interested in the method of SoulCollage® as an additional tool for personal growth and self-care, along with learning this powerful tool for clinical insight, peer supervision, and community-building.
Objectives
Participants will:
- Explore how to use SoulCollage® cards as a form of personal supervision to help guide your treatment plan and goals with clients.
- Learn how a supervision reading is different, and similar to a typical SoulCollage® reading and engage in discussion about how approaches/theories in psychology, such as Gestalt, Transpersonal, Jungian are anchors to the method.
- Experience the power of this type of reading as a tool for deep insight and enhance the care of the Self-of-the Therapist.
- Be held by the group’s energy and support, as you explore the questions and issues that arise such as counter-transference, burnout, compassion fatigue, and others.
- Learn how the use of basic guided meditation and mindfulness can be used with the method.
- Engage in various Expressive Arts Therapy-based activities and practices with SoulCollage® cards, such as journaling, meditation, visualization, poetry and dialogue.
Prerequisite:
To participate in this advanced-level workshop, you will need to have a solid deck, including at least 5 Committee, 5 Community, and 4 Council cards. If you don’t have your Transpersonal and Animal Companion Cards in your deck yet, this program offers bonus material to help you find them!
Please let us know if you have any questions about your readiness for this group.
