REAT Supervision Opportunities

While you accrue the 1000 experience hours post-training, the requirement for supervision is:

  • 50 hours of supervised individual clinical session
  • 100 hours of supervised group clinical sessions
  • A combination of individual and group sessions

As you hone your skills and continue to embrace Expressive Arts, both personally and professionally, we hope you’ll consider us for your supervision needs. We invite you to engage in a process of storytelling, aesthetic response, and harvesting rich insights to assist you on your path towards becoming a Registered Expressive Arts Therapist. Learn about the REAT requirements.

This supervision does not count towards state licensure.

2 hour Supervision Intensives combine individual presentations, supportive discussion, and art-making. An additional hour of supervision is offered with the completion of a process paper after the session (optional).

Choose from three different REAT Supervision schemes, all are facilitated by Dr. Sibel Golden, PhD, LMHC, REAT.

1. REAT Supervision Intensives 

3- hour Supervision Intensives with Dr. Sibel Golden, combine individual presentations, supportive discussion, and art-making. An additional hour of supervision is offered with the completion of a reflection paper after the session (optional). 

Group of up to 8 people. Offered monthly, a la carte.
Cost: $150.00/session

2. 90-minute Art-Based Supervision (REAT Supervision) with Dr. Sibel Golden.

Art-based supervision incorporates creative engagement to enhance clinical insight and contribute to the therapist’s self-care and identity as an Expressive Arts Therapist.

Creative Arts Therapists from other disciplines are welcome. 

Supervision sessions include:

  • Opportunity to present client/group work for discussion
  • Sharing ideas & resources
  • Support with creative practice & self-of-the-expressive arts therapist

You will receive guidelines on how to present your client or group.

Group of up to 8

Offered bi-monthly, with a quarterly commitment.

Cost:  $450.00 for the quarter (6 sessions).
Days and Times: Thursdays, 8:00 am – 9:30 am, Pacific Time

3. Choose Your Own Supervision Adventure!

Are you interested in doing some supervision with one friend or a few? Form your own Dyad or Group! You can choose from 60, 90, or 120 minutes!
