SoulCollage® is a creative and transformative process, in which you create your own personal deck of collaged cards, using your intuition and imagination. Seena Frost, a Marriage and Family Therapist in Watsonville, CA developed it by uniting her passions for spirituality, psychotherapy, and creativity. You can learn more about SoulCollage® at http://www.soulcollage.com.

If you are already familiar with SoulCollage® and have cards at the ready, our workshop for Counselors and Therapists offers a powerful way to use the cards as an approach to personal and peer supervision.

Kim Atwood and I have developed this method over several months of using it together and discovering the nuances that make this method just a little different from a standard SoulCollage® reading.

This method does not use cards to read for our clients, but instead to draw awareness and insight into how we can best serve our clients and tend to ourselves as clinicians.

The cards become “consultants” and offer a break from a more traditional clinical discussion about clients. We focus on listening to the cards to draw insight through heartful exploration of our questions about how we are working with clients. The cards allow space to be in dialogue with our inner wisdom, a foundation for the art of psychotherapy practice.

Since I took the Facilitator’s Training, SoulCollage® has been an essential part of my personal practice. If you are familiar with the practice, I’m sure you have experienced the undeniable vision that a reading offers. As Kim and I have developed this method, we have had some incredible insights into working with individual clients, as well as our clinical practices in general, and the self of the therapist. Using the cards as a focus in this way has broadened our vision about how the cards can be utilized. It has become part of a consistent SoulCollage® practice for professional growth and self-care.

We hope you’ll join us for this 3-part workshop. In addition to learning a powerful tool, you can earn 6 CEs!

There is a prerequisite for this workshop, but stay tuned, Northwest Creative & Expressive Arts Institute will be offering an introduction to Soul Collage® in the near future!
