Frequently Asked Questions

What Trainings are available to bring to our team?

We currently offer the following trainings in-person in the Seattle (and surrounding) areas, or virtually:
🎨 The Ethics of Self-Care
🎨 Expressive Arts Toolbox

Do you offer Continuing Education Credits?

Yes, we can provide your organization’s participants with CEs. Learn more about our CE & clock hour offerings. Participants will need to attend the entire training and complete an evaluation form sent by NWCEAI post-training to qualify for CEs.

Registration

Your organization will track who will be attending and provide our team with the final roster (name & email address of each participant) prior to the training. We will utilize this roster for attendance purposes, to send the post-training evaluation form, and if receiving CEs, certificates will be sent to participants.

Payment

Your organization will be responsible for collecting and/or procuring payment as needed. Post-training, NWCEAI will submit an invoice. The organization is asked to remit payment within 10 days of invoice receipt.

Supplies & Materials

For on-site training, NWCEAI will provide the art materials needed.

For online training, a list of art materials will be provided for participants, or the organization, to gather for the virtual training.

Is there a minimum number of participants needed?

We ask that there are a minimum of 10 people attending. If your group is smaller than that, please mention that in the comment section of the Request Form and we will reach out for further discussion.

Testimonial

It was such a pleasure to work with Dr. Golden at Northwest Creative and Expressive Arts Institute.  She was very responsive, accommodating, and flexible to the needs of our organization, including the presentation delivery platform and time constraints.  The emphasis on self-care as an ethical standard is such an important message, especially during this time.  Her approach to presenting self-care core values was both engaging and relatable, normalizing the barriers and connotation around self-care.  The reflective exercises helped to introduce and connect individual values as being central to practicing self-care with intention.  Her trainings are transformative and insightful.

Our workshops will not credential you as an Art Therapist, Expressive Arts Therapist, or Creative Arts Therapist of any domain. They will, however, give you the tools to bring art into your therapeutic techniques.
